Corp. James J. Carr
 
Corp. James J. Carr of Lincoln, RI, was killed in Belgium in 1944. He was the son of Mr. & Mrs. James Carr of 9 School Street. He was 21 years old at the time of his death.

James was inducted into the army in 1943, and was serving overseas with a medical unit, and as an aide to a Chaplain.

James attended St. Patrick's parochial school in Valley Falls. He left three sisters and three brothers, who were also serving our country at the time of his passing: Tech. Sgt. Maurice Carr, in England; Corp. Timothy Carr, in Holland; and William Carr with the Navy in the southwest Pacific.
